Sairam Beloved Sai Family,
This morning I had a very interesting Swami dream that can be interpreted on both outer and inner levels that I would like to share with you. I think it has value for all of us. My dearest hubby David shared his view on how dreams can be interpreted.
“Dreams can be viewed on two levels: the objective level and the subjective or inner level. This is also true of stories - the classic example being the story of Arjuna and Lord Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita. While we know that the Mahabharata war was an actual historical event, we also know that the more important meaning of that story is
the war that takes place in our own minds and hearts between good and evil. Krishna was teaching Arjuna (and all of us)how to overcome our inner enemies.”

In my dream, I was observing a war going on. One side had sophisticated weapons and they were watching from a high hill; the other side only had very crude weapons. The people involved had a Middle Eastern look. The simple side had a huge boulder in a sling, which they assembled and then ran to a shelter and waiting for the boulder to be flung. At that moment the sophisticated side started shooting missiles into little holes near their shelter and exploding them. Of course, that caused major destruction to the simple side. In the next scene, some of the personnel from the simple side came into a room with the sophisticated side and were about to be taken as prisoners.
There was a man seated in the room not involved with either side and the simple side asked the man to help them. He got up and took a balloon and a robe of Shirdi Sai Baba’s and inflated the balloon. Then he started singing: “Sai Baba, Sai Baba, Sai Baba, Sai Baba” in a very enchanting voice. He continued chanting Sai Baba over and over and moving the balloon of Shirdi Sai Baba up and down. The Sophisticated side became mesmerized and also started chanting like puppets “Sai Baba, Sai Baba, Sai Baba, Sai Baba.”
As the man continued doing this, the simple side fled and got away. After some time, the Sophisticated side realized the other side had escaped and started running around confused. The man with the Shirdi Sai Baba balloon then pricked the balloon and allowed the air to escape; he neatly folded Sai Baba's robe, placed it back on the shelf and then disappeared. (Note: You may recall that Shirdi Sai Baba was a Peacemaker between the Muslims and Hindus, as well as representing the Shiva (Destroyer) aspect of God.)
I feel this dream reveals that chanting the name of God is the panacea for all our inner and outer wars. Every thought and chant is a powerful prayer that changes us and reaches God.
“Whenever you are having negative or judgmental thoughts, remember that chanting the name of God will transform your mind from negative to positive, from Worldly to Divine, from Rajasic to Sathwic.”
