Spring is in the air. There is a sweet fragrance enveloping the Earth. Feel the exuberance of this time of year when everything is budding and growing, take a walk in nature and allow yourself to experience the beauty of Spring.
The importance of good character is an eternal treasure.
Good character is composed of good qualities like respect, consideration, love, kindness, truthfulness, right conduct, peaceful attitudes and actions.
We must make a great effort to develop good character. There are a lot of temptations in this world. Therefore, we must be careful and not allow the senses and the mind to lead us down the wrong path and spoil our character.
Within everyone like the awakening buds of Spring there is an astounding beauty radiant with light and love. We must nourish The divine beauty within us.
How do we do this? Sathya Sai Baba has given us many spiritual tools, to cultivate and develop our awareness of this glorious beauty, this eternal aspect.
Right now I am going to mention one way that can help you develop virtue and good character so that you can know this magnificence and experience lasting happiness:
Chanting the name of God. You can choose any name of God that appeals to you. I personally love: "Om Sai Ram."
Chanting the name of God purifies the body, the mind, the atmosphere and beyond. Chanting the name of God connects you with the loving presence of God. Chanting the name of God calms the mind and helps stop it from racing in all directions.
