Om Sai Ram
Yesterday afternoon, I visited the Divine Mother at the Yoga Shakti Ashram and sang bhajans to Her and the other deities seated on the exquisite altars, I also did some japa mala chanting and circumambulated the Shiva Lingam shrine with the planets. Later on I met my husband, David at Erna Nixon park for a nice walk. We strolled through this extraordinary natural sanctuary, absorbing the pristine atmosphere, taking deep breaths whenever we noticed pink lichen tattooing the tree trunks, reveling in each primordial vista unfolding magically.
Quite unexpectedly, a huge striped hawk swooped past us then disappeared into the thick foliage of palms, pines, ferns and tropical forest. "I wonder what it means to see a hawk?" I speculated aloud. David said that the spiritual material he was presently studying kept repeating how necessary it was to watch your thoughts like a hawk. So, he felt that this was the message for him.
Later I googled hawk omens and meanings, this is what came up:
Aside from the various interpretations, just the powerful image of this beautiful creature soaring through the majestic Florida wetlands was breath taking and left me marveling at the beauty and glory of Mother Nature.
